Three Holiday Tablescapes

If you’re hosting this year’s holiday dinner, you’ll want to spend extra time making sure your dining room table is decked out in festive flair. This will give your friends and family an extra-special dining experience, setting the mood for holiday cheer and making your delicious meal look even better. Here are three ideas for holiday tablescapes based on the theme of your dining room’s decor:

1. Rustic: If you have reclaimed wood furniture and a rustic dining room, consider a natural holiday tablescape. Fill a glass jar with silver-painted pinecones for the centerpiece. Then add some mason jars with epsom salt and white candles to the table along with a few small vases or other containers stuffed with small pieces of evergreen branches you can cut right from the tree.

2. Modern: If modern Caracole furniture fills your dining space, go for a contemporary color scheme like purple and silver. Slip on a deep purple tablecloth and fill a metallic tray or bowl with sparkly silver ornaments. Add some crystal votives with candles. If you don’t have a chandelier, hang strings of ornaments in complementary colors from the ceiling in a group over the table.

3. Classic Christmas: There’s nothing wrong with keeping it classic! Slip on a white or green tablecloth, lay a mirror across the center of the table and top it with a poinsettia and votives. Wrap small evergreen branches up with the cloth napkins for an extra-festive finish.
